Fees & Process

“How do you work with clients?”

We understand that people have different needs.

Therefore, we offer two distinct service models that are tailored to your unique needs.

Our goal is to always be transparent about the value you receive for the fixed fee you are paying.

Which service model is best for you?

Comprehensive:

Our comprehensive service model provides advice to questions that are more complicated and require more investigation to properly advise on. These questions include:

  • Are you doing the right things financially? What things may you be missing?
  • What type of goals should you be setting for yourselves and family? What opportunities may exist that you are not aware of?
  • How much should you be spending, saving or paying down debt?
  • How should you be investing your money?
  • How much money do you need to achieve financial freedom?
  • How should spouses be combining finances and talking about money?
  • How should you be financially preparing for a family?
  • Will your family be okay if something were to happen to one or both of you?
  • How much should you be saving for your children's education?
Project-based:

Our one-time project-based service model provides advice to specific, more straightforward questions. These questions include:

  • How should you be paying down your student loans? Should you change your repayment plan or refinance?
  • What types of employee benefits should you be utilizing? What types of investments should you pick in your employer-sponsored plans?
  • What should you be doing with your stock options or restricted stock?
  • What are your options to fund your children's education?
  • How much and what types of insurance should you have?

Where do I start?

Whether you're looking for an ongoing relationship or help with a one-time project, we always start the same way.

Comprehensive Relationship Process

Cost: $1,000 one-time upfront fee
+ fixed annual fee (paid monthly or quarterly).

Here's a deep-dive into what our process looks like...

upfront work

Think of this service as going to the doctor and asking "Am I healthy? What should I be doing?". The doctor needs to fully understand your medical history and diagnose your current medical condition before providing any recommendations. The same concept works for financial planning.

Here is how it works after you sign up:

1. Get to Know Each Other

3. Present the Plan

5. How’s it Going?

Ongoing relationship

Just like you periodically go to the doctor, we meet three times a year to make sure you are in good health, completing the things you have agreed to, and making the appropriate adjustments based upon your health. The only certainty is that things will change – your goals, your values, your career, etc. and we are here to help you navigate through those changes.

That’s why financial planning is a continuous process instead of a one-time thing. It's important to set a long-term strategy, but that strategy should be broken into annual goals and adjusted to reflect life's changes.

One-Time Project-Based Relationship

Cost: $200/hour * projected number of hours = fixed project fee

As opposed to going to the doctor, think of this service as going to the emergency room and asking "Is my leg broken?". Depending on the condition of your leg, it may be straight forward, or it may take more time to answer. The emergency room doctor will answer your question, but won't also tell you that you need to start exercising to lower your blood pressure. This service model is the same concept.

We provide guidance to specific, straightforward questions without diving into your full financial health.
